Michael E. Jacobs
Michael E. Jacobs practices in the areas of commercial real estate, contracts, business law and financial restructuring with emphasis on assisting clients to make intelligent and well-informed business decisions concerning financing, restructuring of debt obligations, leasing, the drafting and negotiation of corporate documents, foreclosures and dispossessory actions.
Michael regularly advises property owners, financial institutions, non-profit foundations and private equity groups in the financing, development and management of office, industrial, retail, multi-family, personal property, restaurant, and single family projects and the restructuring of debt obligations and closing of commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as foreclosures and loan workout and forbearance agreements. In his leasing practice, Michael represents both landlords and tenants in drafting and negotiation of lease agreements, restructuring of lease obligations and in dispossessory actions. In his corporate practice, Michael assists clients in making intelligent and well-informed day-to-day business decisions, drafting and negotiation of contracts including employment contracts and in partnership issues and disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as a partner in a full service law firm and as general counsel to a medium sized financial institution.
